Extinction is an action adventure game for PC / Windows. The title was developed by Iron Galaxy, a studio that
didn’t create many games, but helped in production of bestsellers like BioShock Infinite and Borderlands 2.

Plot
Humans always fought each other, but the real threat was somewhere else, in the form of giant ogres
who finally decided to step out of the shadows. They can be only fought by specially trained Sentinels. Sadly there
aren’t many of these Sentinels left. The player assumes the role of one of the last ones, named Avila, who must
face the giant creatures.

Mechanics
Extinction for PC / Windows is an action game focused primarily on
combat. The developers implemented an interesting combat system that combines action with tactics. Avil is a very agile
and fast warrior who can immediately climb on buildings, run on walls and jump. He uses a special whip that can be used
not only for moving, but in combat as well. Due to their size, the ogres are dangerous enemies. Before the player can
kill such beast, first he must disarm it and attack its weak points. Only after that it is possible to perform an
execution.

Battles are never similar to each other because the ogres are accompanied by lesser opponents and
the surrounding can be destroyed during the fight. Enemies can attack from ground and from the sky. This makes a
spectacular and explosive mix that forces the player to play carefully and to quickly adapt to dynamic changes of
situation.

Game modes
In addition to a story campaign, Extinction for PC / Windows features two
additional modes – Custom Battles and Extinction. The former enables the player to create his own arenas with
special objectives. Other players from across the world can then complete these objectives, fighting for best score. The
Extinction is a horde mode in which the player faces waves of enemies.
